HOW WE PRESERVE?

22.10.2016 /24.10.2016 – Palazzo Vecchio, Florence

In the framework of the classroom performed by Masbedo in Florence, Luisa Mensi was the first invited guest to join the course.

A pioneer in restoration and contemporary art as well as a lecturer at IUAV in Venice with a deep professional relationship with museums and institutions, Mensi established an in depth dialogue with the artists, approaching the nature of the relationship between artists and restorers.

The course closed the working session with a special public lecture by dot.

Eike Schimdt, director Uffizi Galleries, who generously reacted to the work by Masbedo from his personal point of view, unfolding broadly the question of artworks and conservations processes.
